Privacy

Cerebro is a personal knowledge workspace. This page explains what happens to the content you put in it and the limited information used to operate subscriptions.

Questions about this policy or your information? Email support@mycerebro.app.

Content you create

Cerebro stores the pages, tasks, events, links, files and other content you add. It also prepares a search index on your device so you can find that content. Your content remains available locally on the device. Cerebro does not send this workspace content to its subscription provider.

iCloud sync

When iCloud is available, Cerebro uses Apple's private CloudKit database to sync app content across your Apple devices. Apple's iCloud account and service controls apply. The search index is derived locally and is not itself synced through CloudKit.

Apple services and permissions

If you choose to connect Calendar or Reminders, Cerebro requests Apple's permission and can exchange the relevant events or tasks with a dedicated Cerebro calendar or list. Camera, microphone, speech recognition and photo access are requested when you use features that need them. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles billing and payment details. Cerebro also uses RevenueCat to operate subscription access and business reporting. RevenueCat may process an app-generated subscriber identifier, purchase and entitlement status, product and transaction information, and limited app, device, network and diagnostic information. Cerebro does not send RevenueCat your notes, files, recordings, saved links, questions or other workspace content. This information is used to validate access, restore purchases, prevent fraud, troubleshoot subscription issues and understand subscription performance. RevenueCat acts as a service provider and applies its own privacy and security terms.

Optional cloud intelligence

Cerebro includes an optional setting for a server that you configure. If you enable it and use a cloud answer feature, Cerebro can send your question, recent conversation, selected search excerpts and an attachment to that server. The server you choose determines its own processing and retention. The feature is off until configured.

Retention and deletion

Content remains in your workspace until you delete it. Cerebro does not run a separate account or content server. Content synced with iCloud is stored in your private iCloud database and follows Apple’s iCloud controls. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide, secure and account for the service and to meet legal obligations. If you need help removing information, contact us at the address above.

Your choices

You can manage iCloud in Apple Settings, revoke system permissions in iOS Settings and manage subscriptions through your Apple Account. Cerebro includes backup and export tools so you can keep a copy of your content.

Changes

This page will be updated if Cerebro's data practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
